How to pay with your ESA funds

From request to access — here’s exactly how it works when you’re paying us directly rather than through a marketplace.

Tell us what you need

Fill out the short invoice request form — your state, your children, and which curriculum, apps or lessons you want.

We send your invoice

Within one business day you’ll get a properly formatted invoice — ready for ClassWallet or Odyssey, itemized the way they need it.

Submit for approval

Log into ClassWallet or Odyssey, choose “Pay Vendor,” upload your invoice and submit. Most approvals take 2–5 business days.

Get started

Once payment is approved we send your logins, downloads and — if you booked lessons — your schedule. You’re set for the year.

💡 Quarterly fund timing tip: ESA funds usually arrive quarterly, and most of what we offer is an annual purchase — so it’s worth submitting your invoice as soon as a new quarter’s funds land. Ask us and we’ll help you time it.

Does The Homeschool Safari accept ESA funds?

Yes. We’re an approved ESA/EFA vendor in Arizona, Utah, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and Arkansas. We accept payment via ClassWallet (AZ, AR, NH) and Odyssey (WY, UT). Our curriculum, learning apps, resource library and private lessons are all eligible expenses.

Are these subscriptions, or one-time purchases?

One-time purchases. Curriculum is bought once for the full school year. App and library access is bought once for a full year. Private lessons are paid per session, or prepaid as a block. Nothing auto-renews and there’s no card on file to cancel — which is exactly what most ESA programs require.

How do I pay with ClassWallet?

Fill out the invoice request form on this page and we’ll send you a formatted invoice within one business day. Then log into ClassWallet, click “Pay Vendor,” search for The Homeschool Safari, upload your invoice, choose the expense category, and submit. Most approvals take 2–5 business days, and we set you up as soon as payment clears.

I couldn’t find you in my ClassWallet marketplace. Can I still use my funds?

Yes — that’s exactly what this page is for. Not every approved vendor appears in every state’s marketplace listing, and DirectPay works just as well. Request an invoice from us and submit it through “Pay Vendor” in your account. If you get stuck at any point, email us and we’ll walk you through it.

Do you still offer group live classes?

Our weekly group classes and clubs finished in September 2026. We now focus on curriculum, our learning apps, Lion’s Library, and one-on-one lessons — which is where families told us they got the most value. If you’re looking for live instruction, private lessons are still available in reading, math and Spanish.

Who teaches the private lessons?

A certified teacher with a master’s degree in elementary education and 16 years of classroom experience, licensed in Arizona and New Mexico with ESL/TESOL and Social Studies endorsements — and a homeschool parent herself. Sessions are one child at a time, 30 or 60 minutes, scheduled around your week.

I have more than one child. How does that work with ESA funds?

ESA funds are allocated per child, so we invoice per child. Tell us what each of your children needs on the request form and we’ll send a separate invoice for each one, drawing an equal and defensible amount from each account. Different grade levels and subjects are no problem.

What if my state isn’t listed — can I still buy?

Absolutely. Families from all 50 states can purchase anything on our site by card. We’re working to expand our approved vendor status to more states — contact us and we’ll let you know when yours becomes available, or help you look into whether your program allows reimbursement.

What if my ESA payment is denied?

Let us know right away and we’ll work with you to correct and resubmit the invoice before anything else happens — denials are usually a formatting or category issue we can fix quickly. See our Refund Policy page for full details.
