Math that gives you structure—without taking over your homeschool.
Choose the learning path that fits your family: teach the lessons together through the parent-led pathway, or let a ready learner work more independently through the student self-paced pathway. Both include clear daily lessons, flexible support, assessments, and matching videos.
Math Curriculum
Clear lessons. Flexible pacing. Real support for both parents and students.
A complete math year in one organized system
Each level is designed to help families move forward steadily while still leaving room to slow down, repeat a lesson, or use an extra practice day when a child needs it.
Four Core Lessons
Monday through Thursday provide the complete instructional week, so families are not required to teach five full math lessons.
Mastery Friday
An optional fifth day for more practice, another explanation, or extra time before moving forward.
Parent Guides
Weekly goals, learning targets, materials, preparation notes, and teaching tips keep parents oriented.
Student Practice
Guided and independent practice, hands-on learning, review, and simple exit tickets build understanding.
Quarterly Assessments
Built-in checks help parents see what is secure, what needs review, and when a child is ready to continue.
Matching Video Support
Lesson videos for students and practical teaching tips for parents will connect directly to the curriculum.
Teach together—or support growing independence
The lessons stay aligned either way. Families can choose the amount of parent involvement that matches the child’s age, readiness, learning needs, and confidence.
Parent-Led Learning
The parent teaches and practices alongside the child using the weekly guide, lesson steps, and parent support videos.
- Review the goal, materials, and teaching tips before the lesson.
- Lead the warm-up and mini-lesson using the written plan.
- Work through guided practice together before independent practice.
- Use parent videos for explanations, examples, and troubleshooting.
- Check the exit ticket and decide whether to move on or use Mastery Friday.
Student Self-Paced Learning
A ready learner follows the organized lesson sequence, watches the matching student lesson video, and completes the work at an appropriate pace.
- Follow the lesson in order from warm-up through the exit ticket.
- Use student videos for direct instruction and worked examples.
- Pause, replay, or repeat a lesson without falling behind a class.
- Complete guided and independent practice with increasing independence.
- Have a parent review progress, assessments, and any areas that need support.
A real four-day curriculum—not five days squeezed into four.
The core instruction is intentionally completed Monday through Thursday. Mastery Friday is there only when your family wants or needs another day.
Choose your Homeschool Safari math level
Families who already know their child’s level can go straight to the matching curriculum. No grade label is needed.
Cubs Math
A complete four-quarter curriculum with parent guidance, student lessons, optional Mastery Friday support, and assessments.
Use the math placement test to choose a Safari level
Families do not have to guess based only on age or grade. The placement test will help identify the Homeschool Safari math level that best matches a child’s current skills.
Choose the level that fits your child now.
Start with what your child already understands, notice where support is needed, and select a level that offers the right balance of confidence and challenge.
- Matches results to Safari level names
- Helps prevent unnecessary repetition
- Shows where review may be helpful
- Supports more confident curriculum selection
Both options will lead families to the same Safari-level recommendation. The printable and digital links can be activated as soon as each test is published.
The curriculum and video libraries work together
Every video library uses the same level, quarter, week, and lesson organization, making it easy for parents and students to find the exact help they need.
Student Math Videos
Short, child-friendly explanations and worked examples that match the daily lessons.
- Lesson-by-lesson support
- Review and extra examples
- Optional Mastery Friday help
Parent Math Videos
Weekly walkthroughs, preparation help, teaching language, and troubleshooting tips for adults.
- What to teach and why
- Materials and preparation
- What to do when a child is stuck
