Fry Sight Words 101–110
Practice Fry Sight Words 101–110
This interactive Fry sight word game gives students extra practice with the fry sight words 101–110 from the Fry word list. These high-frequency words appear often in children’s books, classroom reading, worksheets, and everyday sentences.
In this activity, students will practice recognizing and reading these words:
over, new, sound, take, only, little, work, know, place, years
By this level, many children are moving beyond the very first sight words and beginning to read longer sentences with more independence. Practicing Fry words 101–110 can help students improve reading fluency, build confidence, and recognize common words more quickly.
How to Use This Game
Have your child read each word out loud while playing. Encourage them to say the word clearly, then try to use it in a sentence after the game. For example:
I know the answer.
We found a new place.
The little dog ran over the hill.
Students can play this game more than once for review. Repeated practice helps children move from slowly sounding out words to recognizing them automatically.
Extra Sight Word Practice Ideas
After playing, write the words on index cards and use them for a quick reading review. You can also ask your child to search for these words in a book, copy them into a notebook, or build silly sentences using two or three of the words.
This game works well for homeschool reading lessons, independent practice, literacy centers, tutoring, or quick review time. It is a simple way to help students strengthen sight word recognition while keeping reading practice fun and low-pressure.
