Fry Sight Words 31-40
Practice Fry Sight Words 31–40
This interactive reading activity helps students practice Fry sight words 31–40. These high-frequency words appear often in early books, reading passages, and simple sentences.
In this activity, students will practice reading and recognizing these words:
but, not, what, all, were, we, when, your, can, said
These words are important because they help children read more complete sentences with confidence. When students can recognize common words quickly, they can read more smoothly and focus more on understanding what the sentence means.
How to Use This Activity
Have your child read each word out loud as they complete the activity. If a word is difficult, pause and practice it together. After the activity, ask your child to use a few of the words in simple sentences, such as:
We can read together.
What did your mom say?
They were not at the park.
Students can repeat the activity for extra practice. Short, consistent review helps children recognize sight words more automatically and feel more confident when reading.
Extra Practice Ideas
For extra practice, write the words on index cards and review them for a few minutes each day. You can also ask your child to find these words in a book, copy them into a notebook, or build simple sentences using two or three words from the list.
This activity works well for homeschool reading lessons, independent practice, tutoring, literacy centers, or quick daily review. It is a simple way to help young readers strengthen sight word recognition and continue building reading fluency.
